Cole & Raper Scholarship Program

Objectives

2017 will be the 4th Cole-Raper Scholarship Program. The Program has a dual purpose:

1. Show the family’s support of our young adults that are striving to further their education through the pursuit of post high school education

2. Feature a reunion activity that  is dedicated to encouraging the progression of our young adults

Contribution Form

Family members that contribute personal donations will be recognized at the Banquet as follows:

• Bronze Sponsors (up to $49)

• Silver Sponsors ($50 to $99)

• Gold Sponsors ($100 to $199)

• Platinum Sponsors ($200+)

Contributions can be made as follows:

 The Program

• Date/Time/Duration:  Monetary contributions will be collected via a Go-Fund Account, mail, and in-person/on-site contributions at the reunion. The Scholarship recipients and donors will be recognized at the 2017 family reunion during the Cole-Raper Scholarship Program Presentation. The Presentation will take place during Saturday’s Banquet.

• Reunion Scholarship Program/Announcement: The following outlines the Program:

  • Announcement/description of the Program

  • Recognition of donors:

    • Bronze Sponsors (up to $49)

    • Silver Sponsors ($50 to $99)

    • Gold Sponsors ($100 to $199)

    • Platinum Sponsors ($200+)

  • Award of  recipients (name, relation, educational institute attending, major, and other academic highlights)/Presentation of scholarship (checks)

  • Words of gratitude from each of the scholarship recipients

  • Closing which includes a description of how to continue the program and contributions

Applicant Information

The Cole-Raper Scholarship was started the summer of 2011 to celebrate and support our future’s education. If you are a high school graduate that is 25 years old or younger, you are a candidate to receive funding from Cole- Raper Scholarship. Simply send or submit (see form below) a completed application no later than August 2, 2017 to Mishawn Cole Turner (mcturner@marketingandconsulting.com or 4311 Upland Drive, Alexandria, VA 22310). Scholarships will be distributed equally amongst eligible recipients.

Eligibility Requirements (scholarship recipients must meet “all” of the following criteria)

• First-time recipient of the Cole-Raper Scholarship

• Must be 25 years old or younger

• Must be a family member registered for, and present at, the 2017 Reunion

• Must provide evidence of high school graduation (e.g. copy of diploma, transcript, graduation program)

• Must be in pursuit of an undergraduate degree or certification from a college, university, and/or trade school/technical institute

• Must provide evidence of enrollment or acceptance from a college, university, and/or trade school/technical institute (e.g. college acceptance letter, proof of enrollment, transcript, proof of payment)
